Newbie Mistakes
and how to avoid them

1) Making bad trades: OK we've all have done this when we first started. Let's face it some people are just out to take advantage of you by lying to you about the value of your new WA! pages.

How to avoid- there are lots of thing you can do to avoid a problem. First off visit one of the many trusted bit broker web sites. If you are unsure about a trade ask around especially in the locker room to see if it is a good trade. There will also be a price list of the pages coming up on this strategy site which let you know how much each page is worth.

2) Being robbed: It is not possible for people to just take your pages away from you. However there are some very sly people out here that will try to trick you into giving them pages.

How to avoid- Remember that GA! Is not responsible for your WA! Pages. Just don't trade for anything other than other pages. There are lots of people that can help you for free. Text, deck help can be given with out payment (and is available on this very site) Offer codes should never be traded for, not just because GA look down on it, but also because the chances of it being a real offer code are 5 out of 1000. Page cloning Is against the law and a complete lie anyway, pages CANNOT be cloned, just try to avoid these "scamers" all together.

3) Sheeping: Sheeping is a term originally used to mean going with the crowd but nowadays people use it to refer to using decks that are not yours. No matter how you obtained them it is not a good idea to use them. People will be anti it eventually and you will not gain much needed experience for you to become truly the best

How to avoid- take a look at the free text section, here you can use those ideas to create your own. Everybody loses, it's life but it's the people that learn from their mistakes, get up and make new ones everyday that really succeed. This may be a longer process then simply sheeping but in the long run you will end up much higher up in rank than any other sheep, and whats more once you get somewhere with your own deck you'll fell a helluva lot better than you did when you stole someone elses. So basically be original in your ideas and you'll do much better. If you try to take short cuts are just setting yourself up for a bigger fall.

4) Being Ripped Off: Now essentially, people can't steal from you, however it is very common in WA for some moron to do a bad trade to someone who is new to the game delibratly, such as "Well these two pages have 2 stars each, thats equal to those 4 stars"

How to avoid- Look at sites such as Major Thom (http://www.majorthom.com), they have a regularly updated list of prices for the pages. Which is very useful for even the veterans of With Authority, and is why I generally keep the site open whenever I'm in WA. You can also check out our own price list once it goes up.

5) Being Told that 4 stars is 4 stars regardless: Now with this one, you will be told that it's 4 stars so it's worth the same as any other 4 star page.

How to avoid- Well essentially, it's not a case of avoiding, more telling people the truth here, because sometimes they are actually oblivious to the pricing of the pages and think of 4 stars equalling 4 stars. As such I'm going to state WHY certain pages are worth more. Let's use The Rock for this one, The People's Elbow while being an excellent move in it's own right, isn't worth anywhere near as much as The Rock Bottom, why's that? Well there's a few simple reasons for that:

1 - The People's Elbow comes packaged in the Rock starter pack, the Rock Bottom doesn't, so you have to hope you get it in the booster pack, hence there being less in circulation

2 - More people want the Rock Bottom, it's an easier move to land for the Rock, so more people want it, that pushes the price up.

3 - Availability, once again this goes back to the fact People's Elbow comes packaged with the Starter pack, people can get them whenever a new Rock starter is bought, but the Rock Bottom has to come from Booster packs, hence it is worth more.
