Riding That Bronco by Prana Devil You start a game with a person in the locker room, you put out X-Pac, now immediatly everyone's expecting you to come out with your feet flying faster than than Jeff Hardy on speed. Well this is where we trick them, yeah we're gonna have some feet flying round the ring, but that's just a cover for the real plan. To land that Bronce Buster. Now I know the Bronce Buster isn't the most powerful WA move, you know that Bronco Buster isn't the most powerful move in WA, but it has a distinct advantage over a lot of trademarks, it's Hit Or Miss. So how does this give it an advantage your thinking to yourself. Well let me tell you. Hit Or Miss has 2 counters right now, Clothesline and Dodge, that means that at any one time, there's only going to be a top amount of 10 HoM counters for your moves. Immediatly we're one step up, because in a deck of 55+ cards, how often is your opponent going to have that counter in his deck waiting? Not very often I assure you. Now we look at the pages, Dodge counters HoM, High Risk and Standing Above. Well we're not going High Risk or Standing Above, because nearly all those moves require your opponent to be on the mat, and we need moves to knock our opponent down to land our HoM moves. Clothesline counters HoM and Leg Extended. Now we're getting somewhere. Leg Extended is a great move type, especially for X-Pac, because it is a powerful move type, and has a lot of takedown moves in it, whats more, X-Pac can draw Leg Extended moves out at will. So we start off the game landing some Leg Extended moves, your opponent's sitting well chuffed, he's just countered your Mafia Kick with a clothesline, he passed, we went for a Thrust Kick, and once again he countered with a clothesline, but what he doesn't know, is he just left himself wide open to be squashed by a flying X-Pac, suddenly out of nowhere we land a dropkick to the floor, he's got no counters for it, we follow him out, Leg Drop, Splash, throw him back in the ring, and land a Bronco Buster. He can't believe it, he thought we were running with Leg Extended, when all along it was a cover for our real mission, HoM and that Bronco Buster. So in effect, what we have now created is an X-Pac deck, that is away from all this thought that X-Pac has to go speed, and has to go Leg Extended. Too many people these days use X-Pac for simply throwing together a speed-pac, and sure, while that will win you some matches, people have learned that Speed-pac, while nasty, can be countered, if their expecting a Speed-pac, and don't get it, they have to figure out what exactly your going for, which gives you time to land a bunch of offensive moves, and before you can say "Smeg-head" he's on Severely Hurt because he wasted his counters on the Leg Extended moves. click HERE for the txt file |
